Christmas Cookies!

Yesterday Happy Home Staff closed the office for a staff bonding day.

After a rather eventful morning which I'm sure a certain person would not like me to share details of we made cookies at Renata's House.

Hmmmm Cookies! I hear you say........ Yes we made traditional Slovakian Christmas Cookies, lots of them, for our candidates for our Christmas party on Friday. With not enough oven and storage space we successfully managed to cook, decorate and pack them all before 5, working harder and faster than Santa's Elves.

To end the day and the festivities Renata cooked us dinner and brought out the Christmas crackers. After sharing the really bad Christmas cracker jokes with each other we donned our crowns with pride whilst people on the street gave us strange looks through the window.

I would like to say a great big thank you to Renata for opening her home and for a lovely day.

We hope you all like the cookies.

Happy Home's Auction for Action for Children

According to studies, 10% of all children in the UK are neglected– this is more than twice the number of children born in the UK in 2007.
Action for Children is a charity, which helps vulnerable and neglected children across the UK by giving them support. They carry out some truly amazing work, and Happy Home Staff has decided to help raise money for them by organising Fashion Action.
On 14 February 2011, Happy Home will hold a nationwide auction on EBay of clothing and bag items, to sell them for the highest price possible to achieve our target of £3000, and we would like to ask you and your family to partner with us in this endeavour.
You can make a difference in two ways;
1. by donating your unwanted, used, but in good condition, designer or high street clothes and/or bags
2. by giving a donation of £50 or any other amount you would like to give
If you decide to donate goods, we would like to receive them on or before 20th December 2010. Give us a call or drop us an email to arrange collection or send them directly to our office address: Happy Home Staff, 52 Grosvenor Gardens, London, SW1W 0AU
Should you decide to give a monetary donation, we accept cheques too, please make it payable to Action for Children.
For more details please visit http://www.actionforchildren.org.uk/. You can also call Renata or Kristine on 08456 44 22 92 or email us at charitysupport@happyhomestaff.co.uk.
